Annual Conservation Photo Contest

"A picture can be worth even more than a thousand words. Good photographs can lend a helping hand to numerous projects: they strengthen publicity for a fund-raiser, make a newsletter more appealing and reveal the beauty of wetlands to elementary students. To recognize individuals who use this tool effectively and creatively, NACD and the NACD Auxiliary join forces with the Virginia Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts to host an annual National Photo Contest."

Students may participate in both the photo contest and the poster, limerick or essay contests.

It will be the responsibility of the photographer to deliver their photos to the Conservation District prior to the deadline; late entries are not accepted. Photos for the 2011 contest must be submitted prior to 4:30 PM on Tuesday October 25, 2011.

For all the photo contest rules visit: http://nacdnet.org/education/contests/photo/ all rules set fourth by the national contest will be observed; with the exception of the entry's to be submitted locally on October 25, 2011.
