No Till Drill Rental
The Franklin County Conservation District owns a 10 foot Great Plains
No-till drill which is available for rent to Franklin County landowners. The
drill is not to be taken outside of Franklin County.
The drill has the capability to seed native grass, forbs, legumes, brome,
fescue, oats, beans, wheat, and many other crops. When renting the drill
landowner must supply a tractor, minimum of 60 hp manufacturer recommends 75
hp, with hydraulic hookups. We allow one-day use for every 30 acres, this
includes time to pick up and return the drill. The drill rents for $10.00
per acre, with a $100.00 minimum and a $100.00 deposit.

Marking Flag Sales
Bundles of 100 marking flags are available for $8.00 per bundle. We keep
florescent pink, white and blue in stock.
Drip Torch for Loan
The Franklin County Conservation District has two Panama Drip Torches
available for Franklin County landowners to borrow when conducting a
controlled burn.
Tank capacity is 1 3/8 gallons. Fuel mixture to be used is: 1 part gasoline
to 4 parts diesel fuel or 1 Quart gasoline to 1 Gallon Diesel Fuel. Person
borrowing the torch is fully liable for any damage resulting from the fire
and cost of suppression, should the fire escape. Do not exceed fuels
mixture. Be sure tank is clean and dry of any fuels before lighting torch.
Tank must be returned free of all fuel mixture.
